So, I picked up the Witcher 3 in the Steam sale, now this is a game I've wanted to play since it came out, but never wanted to pay £50 for. I loved Skyrim and played it for several hundreds of hours before ED came out, and seeing the 20K+ positive reviews, and all the awards I thought this'll be fun.
Well after 3 hours I was bored and itching to get back to ED, which I then played for the rest of the day.
These story driven RPG games used to have me hooked for ages, but all I could think was "I could have earned several million in claimed bounties during this time".
Now this isn't a criticism of Witcher 3, which is a visually stunning and no doubt highly entertaining game, but more a commentary on ED, which despite all it's issues, still clearly has that "pull you in, and not let you go" effect... well done FD, I take my hat off to you.
