9000ly from Caspatsuria -> Sag A*
Its really weird thing with this trip, when in game jumping,scanning, scooping, plotting next jump, jumping, scanning, scooping, trip doesnt feel that bad and im feeling like a boss. Im selfconfident that i can make it, but when i log out and start to think about the distaces, 9000 ly made still 17000k to go, i get sooo depressed and my selfconfidence falls down to drain :/

What keeps you guys going when you hit the "wall", how do you motivate yourself to go extra mile?

I bit the bullet and bought the upgrades that I'd been putting off for Red because she didn't really "need" them.

Still doesn't, honestly... But now the only thing that isn't A rated is the life support <.< ...maybe I should upgrade that because it really doesn't make that much of a difference in weight...

I also bought and outfitted a Viper today, just to do some hunting in a smaller ship to see if it might progress my combat rank faster. I suppose time will tell!

I'm about halfway through doing a run of the silk road trade run. 17 station trade loop, a great way to get a few more system scans for the CG. After that it's back to Lembava to turn in my scans and then find something else to do.

I made sure my journey to Sag A* was never about going to Sag A*, that was just one point on the trip. I always make sure I am heading towards something interesting to discover, or today I am hitting as many of a certain object as I can on my route (neutron star, white dwarves, ever had a giant star day?). Okay, so I'm not the fastest traveller out there, I'm 6000 LY from home now and have been gone 9 or 10 weeks, but there's this carbon star I'm headed towards, then there's a nebula, after that I might start thinking about maybe taking a straighter line.

Good to see another explorer here! That was a really good point there CMDR, im going to try to change my whole mindset during this trip like you are doing and enjoying the ride and sights.

Only got about 45 minutes play last night so I only got to survey 3 systems, all had been discovered before so nothing very exciting to report. I did stop off at a USS in the middle of nowhere and found 3 pirates (lord knows what they were doing there!) which I quickly destroyed. Made a change from exploring.

Just had a quick look after almost a week off-line and was quite unhappy to see that I finally dropped below 70% in the last CG. Oh well, 100k instead of 3 mil ... next time.

ok this sucks. nearing the end of my second day of hanging around Eravate trying to give stuff away for free, and in all that time i've only seen an elite python cmdr and a bogey that came in just as i was leaving yesterday. oh well it's the thought that counts i guess.

maybe it was my choice of location? so i went the full 107,000Ls to Dalton Gateway in LHS 3447 - nobody there.
blamed my WiFi connection. i got a cable and direct linked myself to the modem to lower my ping. still nobody around.

might go home, i think. cart some more envelopes around for the Pilot's Federation in LFT 926

I reluctantly returned to Eravate to close the conflict between Traditional Eravate Autocracy and Eravate Life Services. Sorry I missed ya.
