Its really weird thing with this trip, when in game jumping, scanning, scooping, plotting next jump, jumping, scanning, scooping, trip doesnt feel that bad and im feeling like a boss. Im selfconfident that i can make it, but when i log out and start to think about the distaces, 9000 ly made still 17000k to go, i get sooo depressed and my selfconfidence falls down to drain :/
What keeps you guys going when you hit the "wall", how do you motivate yourself to go extra mile?
I made sure my journey to Sag A* was never about going to Sag A*, that was just one point on the trip. I always make sure I am heading towards something interesting to discover, or today I am hitting as many of a certain object as I can on my route (neutron star, white dwarves, ever had a giant star day?). Okay, so I'm not the fastest traveller out there, I'm 6000 LY from home now and have been gone 9 or 10 weeks, but there's this carbon star I'm headed towards, then there's a nebula, after that I might start thinking about maybe taking a straighter line.
