I would have hung in sc for a bit as it looks as if the shields were close to coming back up, much safer docking with shields.

Especially as shields should still be regenerating at twice their normal rate in SC.

Just been visiting the new alien site. It's pretty spooky driving around it. I've picked up the 6 different artifacts and the 5 different data scans. It will be interesting to see where they can be used.

I never bothered with prospectors because I never realized they increase the number of chunks that break off until a friend told me. When mining in general I tend to just use the mining laser to sample as well as firing out prospector limpets at more distant rocks, quite handy. It was also only recently that I discovered asteroids in a RES will also yield more 'chunks', though pirates can be a pain in the ass. What is it you're mining for?

I'm looking for Praseodyium so I can get some tier 2 FSD upgrades. After a half hour of blinding pew pewing at rocks in the belt near Rafferty's Mobius I have about 80% of 1 unit. I'm running with my type 6 to mine with collector limpets, a 5 bin refinery and 2 small D class mining lasers. If anyone could link me a a mining in ED for Dummies type of guide that would be great. As to the questions that may come up about why im using a type 6- because its what I had sitting around already and credits are tight right now XD
