PP has never interested me, Engineers is just stupid with everything being dependent on a throw of the dice (and I mean everything), no in game social aspect other than when you are either friends or in the same instance if not. And trying to talk is annoying with having to reselect the person every time you look away from the chat window. I have my Anaconda and would love to go for a Corvette but don't see the point of it any more, the Conda properly fitted can do everything the Vette can and with a better jumprange just without the second class 4 weapon. And my favourite ship, my Python, is useless with out serious engineers upgrades to make it turn faster than a slug which has slithered over superglue.
Just feels that FDev are adding in loads of game mechanics with no gameplay to take advantage of them. Being in beta the only thing that I have had any real fun with are the SLF's. But even that ran dry quickly once I realised how pants the ships are, one or two shots from a decent ship and 'bye bye' - boom. Without being able to launch a small swarm of them they are useless. And what's the point of employing 3 crew when you can only use one at a time?
Sorry to rant on, I think I need a break. I just don't see the game going anywhere with FDev concentrating on the mechanics and not the gameplay. Plus the inconsistencies. Why is ejected cargo in space illegal salvage yet on a planet, perfectly fine? ARGHHHH I love the game, just really don't want to play it anymore
