If thats the one where they are mining the astroids. It did get another season, altho we wont see it for awhile. I dont think anyone expected it to get further than the first season but it was accually really good. Proper Scifi

No asteroid mining in this one (but do tell me what the name of it is). The one I am thinking of has the actress from BSG in it.

I'm not sure I like the looks of that ship - too artsy (and alien) for a massive freighter.

I stopped expecting science fiction from Hollywood now.
Best we can hope for is mildly entertaining space fantasy.

I thought that "The Martian" was pretty good. I'd read the book and the film seemed to follow it pretty well.
The science wasn't perfect, but they didn't do too badly.

Martian and Interstellar, are the exceptions to the rule.
The rest is just independence day, Jupiter, or avatar/Marvel bullshit.

Hey I'm Thor -
People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Interesting! The one thing I took from that vid is..."Hey, whut?! A cyborg barman who's actually part of his bar? It's Jaques! They've nicked the idea from the old Elite II novella story "All That Glisters" by David Massey!"

AH nope sorry its "The Expanse" I was thinking of.
There are 3 factions "The Earthers", "The Martians" and "The Belters"
All human tho. All all happens in our solar system.

(The Belters mine the astroid belt. I like how thier children's Childrens cant live on earth anymore because they are all tall, skinny and have buggger all muscle mass cause of 0G)

anyways

In my opinion best sci-fi series and movie: firefly (series) and serenity (movie). Has the companion tool "Inara" taken the name from the series?
