I was expecting a pin point start for 99% of the jump, because the star will not appear much larger until you get very close. Think of what a local star looks like from a few hundred thousand light seconds. If you are decelerating from thousands of C in hyper to 30k in SC, I would expect the star to pop. It does pop less than before though, because it doesn't just pop out of nothing.

I like that they fixed the 2D star fields planes that would whiz by in VR, so that looks a lot better. I did feel the target star was too big during hyper though, as it is still LY away for most of the trip. I'm not sure if that is an artifact of my using the spud tool, so I will have to try without it.
It's time to give this another go.

After a couple of hours I stopped it, switched to alternate and started again. It got back to the same place very quickly (cached) and then...........

I tried re-downloading a few times. By default I was set to "alternative method". I switched to default one time, to no avail, and then back to alternate. Though I did hit 50Mb/s on alternate the second time.

But alas, my issue is server side..
Now, off to get my Note 7.. again. Finally can get rid of this shite loaner S7.

We need your questions for tomorrow night's beta feedback stream.
They should all be about the current beta... so please fill this thread with questions for Lead Designer Sandy Sammarco.
Tomorrow night (22nd) at 7PM we'll be hopping on the stream, I'll be playing the beta while Sandy answers as many questions as he possibly can in an hour.
