I got Can't Load Commander Data, so I opened a ticket to let them know I am NOT Cmdr. Data (Ba-Dum TISH!) and they replied to clear my save and let them know, and they would give me enough credits to test with. I then replied GMBH!

(I meant Gibt mir Billiones Heute or Give me billions Today, but we actually use that to yell to the wife Gibt mir Beer Holen or Get me another beer!)

Maybe I can load it tonight. Maybe not. Either way, I paid the price for the beta. Oh and Alphabet Bobble Heads to I can have ASSHAT on my dash

Started up Beta and before I'd gotten into SC it's chucked me out. There's an upgrade already!

Strange - done the upgrade, it now says BETA 2 but it won't run, it's still telling me the client is too old.
Tried restarting the launcher too, it's still the same.
Think I'll take a look at the Frontier forums, see if I can find what's happening....

Geez Frontier, wtf. I hope this is fixed. I certainly didn't get anywhere near this for helping to get Jaques up and running. 15 million versus 7 billion.. c'mon FDEV.

That would certainly add the required delay to ship transfers - about a year to make the money!

Also it looks like my 6 years old has been helping FD with time calculations. 61 hours 42,540 minutes?

It's that last 42,540 minutes that really jacks up that price.

My update just finished, so time to drill/attach the HOTAS again.

Jeezy petes that Ship Launched Combat is awesome! Can sit/orbit a ship and just light the thing up with 4 ticks into weapons, and 2 in engines.
I'm sure the training was nothing like what RNG'ineer combat will be like, but still. I loved that.

Too bad I can't login to the main game right now.. Oh well. Training was fun.

Ok, here is a little report.

Got Beta, Could not load Cmdr. Data. Opened ticket, they asked me to clear my save and then they would give me back the credits. I did. They Did. But I have no ranks. None. Nada. Can't buy a Corvette, or a Cutter, or any other ranked ship. Also have no elite, and no Permits. Can't go places I wanted to check. Re-Opened ticket and waiting for a response. If they cannot restore my ranks I will request a refund on the beta access.

Did pick up a Conda and fit the new Taipan Fighter. Mechanics of it are cool and can see where it is going to work. Vocal feedback from Crew NPC's are cool, written ones not so much as it is the same colour as wingmates. Not cool

New Jump Animation is great but I thought the pinpoint of the star would grow bigger as you approached, it doesn't so it still pops.

New Menus in stations are good, but the layout will take some time to adjust to.

New station Interiors (the Ones I saw) are very well done and will add a lot to atmosphere.

My 650 GTX got a hit in FPS in Supercruise from 120 to about 80. In Stations, it boosted from 40 to 50-60. Planets got a boost as well, though not much.

This will make me redo all my VA commands to be just what I need and cutting the fluff. Also will have to rethink stick and keyboard bindings because we now have direct keys to control fighters (Attack, Follow, Defend, recall, etc...)

The crew chatter is coloured as direct messages, so yellow.
Wing chatter is blue. But then again you are running one of those garbage colour schemes.

Yeah it's a bit odd.

I still haven't been able to play, cause hotels have sh1t internet a whopping 0.5 megabyts per second! I mean seriously, I am the middle of a city. The average speed around here is 60MB/s! And that is for domestic accounts, businesses should be getting much higher. Not to mention the hotel charges you for accessing the internet as well! £3 for 24 hours access for a paltry half a Meg, disgusting. If Elite wasn't so big I'd download on my MiFi which gets 40MB/s!

Restore my ranks. Ticket closed. Frontier Support again come through and restore my faith in the Universe. At least till we can get in the same instance and test Wings. I may change my mind then.

Did you guys select the alternative download under options on the launcher? regular was slow as mud till I stopped it and selected alternative.
