Of course, I forgot to buy limpets!
Then I tried using two collectors at once, and they expired very quickly. I think I remember something about this being a bug over a year ago - have they not fixed it yet? When I just used one collector, it lasted a long time, and even followed me from asteroid to asteroid.

If you have anything targeted when you deploy the collector it will pick up that specific item put it in your hold and die.
If you want them to work automatically make sure you have nothing targeted. I am using six collectors and they work as advertised.

Yup ^^^ this. Also, make sure that nothing blocks a direct line of sight between your ship and the collectors. They'll crash into a rock and splatter them self if it's in the path between the item they're collecting and your cargo bay.

Sitting in dock somewhere, I forget where since I don't ahve my HOTAS plugged up and thus am limited, I am just amazed. Flew around a Cuboid in a training mission, and the colors, clarity, and frame rate are just nuts.

I imagine coming from 1080p it does look pretty good, even if stretched over a larger area. Have you tried super sampling? Try 1.5, and if your card can take it, 2.0 - the toaster has almost no aliasing, which is always the worst for that.
