Improving hostile relations when faction has no base?

Postby Bipper » Wed Aug 10, 2016 9:07 pm

So does anyone have any ideas for improving the relations with a faction which has no station, outpost, or planetary facilities? The faction in question has some very lucrative missions, but I ran relations into the ground with them via bounty hunting only to find that now I can't repair those relations because they don't control any stations that I can turn bounties, exploration data, etc... in at. Any ideas?

Is your current relationship 'unfriendly' or 'hostile'? I have turned an unfriendly faction back to neutral by running any and all missions that they offered me. It took quite a bit of time and effort though. If you are hostile with them, I doubt if they'll offer you any missions.

I've found very lucrative missions in neighboring systems by checking their board when I stop at stations to complete missions for my home system.

Doing mussions in a new system may be less work and more profitable than repairing your current relationship.

It's hostile... 90% of the bounties on ships at RES are for their faction. Came back to base with a cool several mil in bounties and lo and behold... they hate me now. So I have to get it up to unfriendly at the very least. Just not sure if/how that can be done at the moment.

Do they have any other systems that they are in that you can work out of? This may help if you can find another system that they are in. Since they have no base in that system they may have in another system close by.

Just move a couple of systems over for a few days.
Your standing will revert to neutral shortly.

His rep may go from hostile to unfriendly over time with no action, but based on my experience it will not go above unfriendly without player intervention.

I was unfriendly with the Mob in my home system for months, and did nothing in that system for quite a while. My rep never went up with that faction until I did a bunch of missions for them.
