Right now I'm about 2500 LY away with my Asp Exp and everything is exciting! I recently jumped into a system with my first neutron star which was coincidentally also my 1000 unique system i've visited.
500LY felt like the furthest distance one could sanely go before I set out for Jaques. Now, I do 1000LY sections every few hours.. It's really just about getting used to the distance. When I lived in the mountains, I wasn't that far from the city, as the crow flies, but I was 30-40 minutes away driving, since it was such a curvey trip. I would routinely drive 50 minutes to see friends that were just next door, since everyone wazs used to being close, but far away. I'm fine doing 1-2 hour drives. To me it's like driving down the road to the grocery store. The same will happen for elite trips, and is already starting to.
When you first start, 10LY feels like so far. Then 100Ly feels crazy. Doing the Rare Trade Loop of a few hundred LY starts to feel normal, then you go out into the verse and explore. Then anything under a thousand feels normal. Hell, a thousand is only 30-50 jumps to you afterall.
9,594.39 LY left.
