I wouldn't mind seeing this when I look up!

Wow, that's really cool :D. Now we need to find some ringed Earthlike planets in-game so we can all go and gawp at them once planetary landings are in!

That'd be cool as hell. Although I sit so high on the globe I wonder if the rings would even be visible here.

Scooping fuel is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. First check the target is hot enough,
then approach slowly. Once close enough, pull out your scoop and fill her up. After you're done just
gently pull away, turn around and leave.

That would be a beautiful sight.

I'd assume if this was true space exploration and mining would have been part of our world a lot sooner then it is now.

I think it could be done for real as well.
We would just have to blow up the moon....

I like the moon, so I vote no on that project.

Nice post Flip, I would love to see something like that but then again I'm sure our little blue marble would be a lot bigger ;)

I ran into that video on the same subject. It’s pretty well researched and has lots of very interesting information (and even some maths). It also talks about the probable cultural consequences of having such rings in our sky.

Not to mention the fact you'd seriously fuck tides up and would probably have some catastrophic side effects. But yeah, let's just chalk it up to really really liking the moon, for simplicity.
