I'm currently about 11K LY away from Azrael and heading further toward the core. I probably will not get back in time to switch out my Asp for a combat ship to help out.

Sounds like loads of fun, but will my Federal Assault Ship get squashed by all that heavy metal flying around?

Oh, for the record, I fly pretty reckless and my shots often go where they aren't supposed to. Witness the fact that I have changed my home system about a dozen times in the last month or so due to killing random clean pilots and cops at rez sites. So if I happen to hit someone, its not intentional and please, please don't fire back because in the intensity of a fight I sometimes just lock onto something and I don't realize its a friendly until its too late. Although with the hollow boxes vs the solid ones it should be allot easier to tell friend from foe

I think that much like me in my Cutter, as long as you can keep it to mostly a 1:1 fight, you should be fine. Or if you find a wing.

Aizria came into CZ with an imperial courier, and did quite well last night.

Not in the mood for combat, thought I'll grind a bit in Tun for the last two federation ranks. Impossible. Loading takes forever and there are almost no missions. While getting there I also experienced jump lag. I think it's too crowded tonight, the servers can't handle the load. I guess I'm done for today.

I've found the FAS a capable CZ ship, stick some military armor on it and a hull reinforcement and even loosing your shields isn't an issue.

Well, that sounds familiar. I know I was furious when it happened to me, and probably only went back in because I found other commanders, and because the imperial slave market is being wrecked by a CG.

Armor is my favorite way of fitting out a ship My FAS has 2150 armor and I forget the shield strength but with 1.5 pips in systems and engines and 3 in weapons I can fire ceaselessly, accelerate well enough and recharge the bi-weave shields pretty fast.

Sorry for the loss. I know the exact feeling, except I was rammed by a Conda.
Personally I hate fighting Cutters. They take a Long time to kill and the AI loves ramming. The cutter I was fighting last night kept trying to ram my Corvette but now I now the trick of pitching down or up and boosting out of its way. It can't turn in time as the Cutter tends to slide. Then throttle back to blue, full pips to engines, spin back in the cutter and light up the power plant.

We might be able to take over the planetary station pretty fast with this kind of results.
