I sent you a couple of chat messages and a wing invite. You were probably too busy killing ships to notice. Maybe we can wing next time. ;)

Damn, wanted to message you - should have followed my instincts. Thought it strange that my chat box showed nothing. Next time for sure JohnLuke :)

Was CZ hunting for the Order with CMDR Dexter Wolf. We managed to chase the Cap ship away twice.

How many times do you have to chase it away for it to stay away?

Thought I would see more commanders in the CZ last night. But didn't see many. Apart from CMDR Dexter, saw only 3 other ships.

Had an interesting moment in the CZ. Was being fired upon by a ship but the ship did not appear on my sensors. The ship firing on me barely dimmed Lady Durga's shields so I ignored him.

Have fun, fly safe. o7

Got a Python, and with about 58 mil (and a 10% all around discount) I got it fitted for trading. I'm probably not going to use it anything but for that, until I get a 'Conda, as I've already got an able combat ship in the FAS. Next session I'm gonna buckle down for trading up to a 'Conda.

I went into the conflict zone in Exioce tonight in my cutter. In trade config.

I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the shields on this thing! I only have an A6 shield generator, but I do have 8 shield boosters. I was able to literally just park within range of the capital ship and take out components at my leisure as long as the smaller ships didn't gang up on me.

I had taken out all those huge turrets with the white laser beams on the capital ship, maybe one small interceptor turret, and a couple of the heat exhaust ports when I started getting wailed on from behind the first time. When I went to the station for repairs and came back, I met another commander (Amallore, I believe it was?), and we winged up. Having an Anaconda and Cutter didn't really solve the gnat problem, and we both got cooked a bit, and went to the station for repairs.

On the third try though, we managed to take down the capital ship! I was even out of the fight for a while trying to let my shields recharge when a Deadly Python came after me. I managed to kill him for his transgression without losing that last ring of shields I started with, but that took forever! Definitely noticing the military armor. After I got a second ring back, I headed back over to help finish off the capital ship.

If we were in a full wing, with some smaller ships to chase off the medium and small ships pestering us, that would have gone even better.

Honestly, this outting has made me appreciate the Cutter even more. It is a shield tank like no other, even with a pathetic A6 shield generator. It has decent enough firepower, and okay armor. It also has the speed to get away when you're sitting at 40% hull, and cannot be masslocked by any single ship; so it is very survivable. Even before NPCs in conflict zones got buffed, I would usually do ok in them with a wing, but get WRECKED as soon as I was on my own in my python. Less shields, less hull, less speed = less escape.

Honestly, I don't think I'd change a thing on the Cutter except to get it a class 8 distributor and make sure it could handle that, pulse lasers (including huge), an A8 shield, and 8 shield boosters, at least with some good power priorities. (I think it can handle most of that when A-rated, except you have to make 1 or 2 shield boosters a lower class. Could be wrong.)

I think I broke even between combat bonds and repairs tonight, but I still had fun.

I would love to be in a wing of 3-4 large (Vette / Cutter) ships and work that Cap ship to the bone!

Absolutely! :) It's hard to watch your chat log while in a CZ. I try to check it every few minutes between targets or when in route to a target that's a little ways away. Also, try to watch for wing invites. They'll show up at the top of your comm window (toward the right side) but only stay active for a little while if not acted on.

Our last war lasted for almost a month. I think the minimum is 3 days and max is 28, but don't quote me on that.

@Charlie2Alpha.... hope to wing with you this weekend (like we usually do) and kill some NPC's for the Order!!

Handed in my PP merits last night at Gagarin Enterprise in the Epsilon Scorpii system, and I could hear a ruckus going on outside the station. Figured it was a goof who broke docking procedure (most of us have forgotten docking request one time or another) and was being delivered swift "Justice" by the station's resident Peacekeeping force turret array of peace-and-all-things-pink-and-fluffy :D

Anywho... Got up this morning, and the ruckus was not only continuing but had escalated. I checked comms, and low and behold System authority vessel chatter. As an upstanding (most of the time ;) ) Federation Navy Admiral, I launched to aid the cosby coppers in suppressing their targets, but...

They were engaged in battle with the station itself... Civil War system and the first time I've seen the fight taken to an actual space station. Very cool, though unfortunate for the fighters
