Hi All,
I am CMDR SilverfoxBL
I have played elite from beta and was one of the kickstarter backers
myself and my father saintcelt (above) have both been told about your group and we are more interested int he PVE and general friendly fun type of game than a PVP enviroment.
I currently fly a Federal Dropship however my aim next is for the FDL or the Python.

I enjoy all of the game dynamics although I have not spent much time on planets yet.

Look forward to flying with you guys

Crypto here, signing in.

I couldn't even guess how many hours I logged as a kid playing the original Elite on my C64. I'm thrilled to see the flight mechanics of ED are true to their roots, and even improved, while still maintaining that same spirit. I can't tell you how nostalgic I got while maxing out my sidewinder in ED, holding on to it until I just couldn't justify sinking any more credits into it. As kids, a buddy of mine and I tried to create ways to enhance the experience by adding an "online" element using the 1200 baud Bulletin Board Service we ran (~1 kbps dial-up, one user at a time). We imagined a huge community sharing trade routes, good places to explore, war stories... in the end I'm pretty sure that he and I were the only ones to ever log into it. True CO-OP PvE wasn't even on our radar (pre-internet), so you can imagine how thrilled I am now to see this community where everything (and more) that I dreamed about as a kid is already happening. I can even run the game at the same time as posting to the BBS (er... forum)!

Hope to see y'all in the 'verse.

Howdy, I'm CMDR fishbang.

I'm glad to have a big group to play with and among, and I'm glad to be in it with friends of mine. I've been in E:D since beta, and I've spent most of my time up to now space trucking and bounty hunting. I keep telling myself it's past time I get that long-distance exploration trip going, but every time I'm in the mood a new friend of mine joins the game and I can't bear to be away from the bubble during their early days. Maybe some day when we're all in the same mood and on the same page...

In any case, I'm happy with what I'm doing now and I hope to see some of you out there.

I had declined our join request 2 times but on your 3rd I thought id better contact you, there is a know griefer that plays in the all group that goes by a similar name, I had refused access to our group because I thought that you may have been the same player with an alt account.

Greetings and welcome to Mobius, new commanders!

Please feel free to add your name to the In game friends list thread, and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders.

Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

On top of all of that, we also have a Facebook group and Twitter feed.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimatize to the game while having fun.

Finally, if you are interested in being involved, go here to see information about our player group faction, the Order of Mobius. We have our own Discord (voice and text chat) servers for supporters of Mobius, as well as our own Order of Mobius Twitter feed.

CMDR Luhok Voolia signing in.

Real name: Thomas.

42 year old from the far north of Scotland.

Player of the original Elite on the Spectrum 48k, all those years ago. Now playing Elite: Dangerous on PC with my Oculus Rift DK2 and X52 flight controller and loving it. This is the game I always imagined while playing as a kid on the Spectrum.

See you all out there in space! :)

Hi all. I'm CMDR Blake, a Brit currently living in Helsinki Finland.

I was an original kickstarter backer and founder. I loved the game as a teenager and couldn't wait to get back into the stars!
The game itself sat on a shelf (work commitments) until I finally got around to dusting off the game and started playing in November '15 and haven't stopped learning, and smiling since. I seem to have managed to acquire all the peripherals such as 'playseat', Hotas, cool gaming headset etc :D I'm like a teenager again, what a Christmas of gaming stuff!!

I have been mostly playing in open until recently and enjoyed some 'gentlemanly' role played piracy against me from time to time. However in recent weeks I have been attacked multiple times for no reason, and no warning or discussion, this has really spoiled my 'game'. I thus played in Mobius and met some great guys...so here I am. A proper community without uncalled for drama!

Looking forward to meeting you all and getting the confidence to 'dial in' to teamspeak etc....o7 and fly safe

Hi everyone,

I'm CMDR Okura Okimoto and happy to join the Mobius PvE Group.

I started roughly a year ago playing Elite Dangerous occasionally as I'm also playing other games. I started playing open and for some time this also worked well until I started getting around the game visiting also more popular areas. For some time I had no problem we PvP as I also like PvP in other games.

Main issue is to choose when to do PvP and as always there are always highly optimized PvP people around which can almost "one-shot" you. So after having such a almost one-shot experience which showed me "once shields are down I can still start to run" is not always the truth.
Once you get in bigger and more expensive ships this even more becomes true as others can spoil the game entirely and ruin many play hours.

So I played some time solo. But then I heard about Mobius and thought I can give it a try.

So thanks a lot for giving me a populated galaxy back.

Space Commander Cral Travis here. How do!

I played Elite on the Spectrum 48K back in the mid-1980s and then Frontier and FFE; for me it was always more a trading game, an exploring game, and a ship improvement game - I'd been playing Traveller (the paper RPG) for a couple of years before that.

Despite being early in the Kickstarter, I didn't think my computer would be powerful enough to run E:D... but hey, it is! Not Horizons though, I don't think.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing some or all of you out there in the Big Black. I have been playing for about a week, got used to most of the controls and procedures and have traded up to a Cobra Mk III with a few extras. Still doing Rare commodity trade runs to try to get enough for an even better ship (in FFE the Imperial Courier was the one to have!)... I've done two forays into bounty hunting at Resource Extraction Sites. The main thing I want to be sure of is how to recognise a fellow human player on sight, rather than an NPC criminal!
