Had a fairly lucrative trade run in the vicinity of the Ch'eng system, the market port there is a pretty good place to pick up missions in at my level. Unfortunately, one of these was a shadowrun mission involving narcotics which I carelessly picked up without looking at the details. Since I"m heading back to my PP base then back to Azrael/Exioce that profit will go back to better outfitting my Viper3 which will be making sure that those areas will be more secure & influence-tilted in favor of the Order.

That's the first & last narcotics mission I"m running - left a bad taste in the mouth. Lesson learned & remembered.

Every planetary ring in the HIP 16607 system is a "pristine reserve". I was out there today and typical asteroid large enough to pulverize the shields on my drop ship and it says "100% --- consisting of 46% osmium, 23% indite and 7.6% Gallium " ---- Um, what king of math is that? What part is the 'pristine' part? I don't have Horizons so I can't say anything about planetary mining. I filled my ship 4 times, that's 96 ton per trip and I didn't get one ton of painite! I got a fair amount of palladium and platinum but nowhere near what I am supposed to expect.

Were you in a pristine metal ring, or a pristine metallic ring? If it wasn't metallic, that would explain why you didn't get any Painite.

I've been having a blast doing planetary base assault missions in Cubeo this weekend.

Does anyone know where there are similar Federation planetary assaults missions? I'd like to work on my Fed rank while blowing up defense turrets.

Could anyone link to a post or wiki with what the benefits of elite status are for each type? For the life of me, I cannot find what the exact rewards are from attaining Elite status in Trading, much less in Combat, CQC, or Exploration. I'd really love to know where to find that info.

Made it to Elite trading woohoooo the last 10% done in one go!!! 937 million in Trade profit is what it took me.

Could anyone link to a post or wiki with what the benefits of elite status are for each type? For the life of me, I cannot find what the exact rewards are from attaining Elite status in Trading, much less in Combat, CQC, or Exploration. I'd really love to know where to find that info.

I think you just get some higher paying missions and the permit for the Shinrarta Dezhra system where Jameson Memorial sells all ships and modules and at 10% discount.

Beyond that I'm not aware of any benefits at the moment. However, FD have said they are changing the rep system to better recognise ranks, and that the ranks will have an affect on whet you can get from Engineers when they are introduced.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know if all that was it or part of the Elite perks. Finding info on that was surprisingly difficult.

I'd read a bit about the upcoming engineers. Makes me want to grind to Elite in Exploration and Combat, and finish the last 2 levels of Imperial Rank, so I'll have everything but CQC maxed out.


Back to trading for now. Going to go bounty hunting in my Type 9 later. I love interdicting pirates with this beast.
