Thanks! I usually head to LYR systems to get ships. Am I correct in assuming that hitting elite gives me an active discount everywhere, making the trip to Porta or somewhere worth the slag to get a better discount amount?
I didn't know how the Elite discount worked, so I went ahead to Jameson Memorial. If I can get a Corvette cheaper than here, I'll grab a cheapo ship, a fuel scoop, and head out to wherever has it. 15% plus 10% more would add up nicely.

Thanks! I already did, I think. It's updated on my screen.
Meanwhile, I bought an Imperial Courier, and stripped it down to a bare bones scanner ship. 30.09LY jump range with bi-weave shields and scanners. This ship makes me want to engage in combat. It's so agile! I'm a fighter pilot in this thing. Granted, I stripped it down so much I can't even boost my engines, it's still awesome! Though I fear using the biggest ships in the game has murdered any fine thruster control I had.. Docking is a pain since I overcompensate!
So, the Federal Corvette is 155,779,684 at LHS 20. That's discounted more than at Jameson. So I assume there's an active trade discount for having Elite ranking. Goodbye, my little and awesome Courier! Until we meet again, or I need to run back to LHS to by another ship!

34.6LY jump range with scanners is sick. Not as fun as the Imperial Courier, but a nice second.
