I made 1M in the Dahan combat CG (top 80%) and 2.5M in the Dahan trade CG (top 50%). I think I'm going to head off to get back to Fed missions, as I'm only an Ensign.

On my way out I saw a couple of our more prominent Mobius members in their Corvettes, and even got a response to my hail. :D

I made a stop at the Compromised Nav Beacon in LFT 992, and with the help of a Deadly NPC flying a FAS, I picked up about 1.5M in bounties over about 40 minutes. I removed the SCB from my Python to get more cargo space for the CG and still haven't replaced it, but thanks to my NPC friend I didn't have a scratch on my hull.

LFT 992 is a bit of a weird system, so I had to fly almost 130K LS to get to a station where I could cash the local bounties.

On the System Map, the start LFT 992 is shown first (and is the system name), but the other star is actually where the nav beacon resides.

Good luck on your exploration rank goal, Pargyrak!

After running all beams on my Asp, I keep coming back to pulse, burst, or a combination of the two, on my Python. Most NPC pirates practically disintegrate with 3 or 4 salvos. Interesting to hear that it scales up.

Learnt too things so far today.
1) When you are 18,000ly from home, check the gravity on a planet before landing/face-planting on it. 70% hull was a let off really.
2) I was heading towards the Neutron star field as posted by Skipp some time ago viewtopic.php?f=41&t=2815 and found that there's a very good 'vein' of neutron stars heading pretty much the whole way there starting a good few thousand ly's earlier.
Have a look around 3,200:-1,006:15,500 if you are in the neighbourhood.

By the way Happy New Year.

Decided that the rate I go through Buggies is horrid and I needed to ensure my playtime was not interrupted going back to the stations to get more buggies.

So I bought a Buggy hauler. She's fast, Sleek, carries 5 buggies, 128 Tonnes of Cargo, and looks fabulous in a Little Black Dress.
► Show Spoiler

Hopefully she lets me stay out and play more :D

IMO, running all pulse lasers is boring as hell, but it's also the most efficient killing method that works well for me. I like running beams and multi's or beams, multi's, and missiles, but at the end of the day.... the more weapons you are firing at the same time, the faster the kill. So... all pulse lasers it is.

I found that in the Vette if I close in less than 1km before firing on a python, clipper, or Fed ship, I can strip them of their shields and do 20-40% hull damage before my weapons capacitor is depleted. :D The Vette's maneuverability REALLY helps me stay on target and keep all of those pulses pointed the right direction.

I will soon put an 8A distributor on my conda and I'm wondering about the weapon combination myself. It has 7B thrusters at the moment so it's rather well maneuverable but I went with several burst turrets and some gimballed pulses. Didn't put anything on the huge hard point yet.
