Can't Pay Fine for Trespass in Tito Landing (Altair 1)

KK, well yesterday I was on Altair 1 and I drove around Tito Landing in my SRV, no proplem. Then when I docked my ship, took off and flew over the site, I was fined 900 credits for trespassing.

I want to pay my fine but I am unsure how to. I have been to a nearby station but no option came up to pay in the Contacts option.

I have come back to Tito to pay but there's nobody to contact here.

How do I pay my fine?

It will become a bounty when the timer runs down.
This seem a bit like a bug though if the port doesn't have a contacts menu, need to be docked and in ship to see it though.

If not you need to file a ticket with fd support....

Thank you. I'll take another look in case I missed something whilst in the ship, but if it doesn't give me the option to pay up I'll have to submit a ticket with FD support as you suggest.

Its not a Fine, it is a Bounty. There is a big difference now. 900 and DORMANT is impportant.

A Fine (It would say FINE and not BOUNTY) you have 7 days to pay off before it becomes a Bounty.

A Bounty has a 7 day cooling off period after which it becomes a fine. Then you can pay it off. If you don't pay it off after 7 days being a fine it becomes a DORMANT BOUNTY.

A Dormant Bounty is a permanent bounty that becomes a LEGACY FINE that will not be activated unless one of 2 things happen:
1. A Player scans you with a KWS
2. Or the System authority from the system the Bounty is from scans you.

Once it is reactivated, you can be killed for it (obviously not by a player in Mobius) and stays active for another 7 days then will go back dormant.

What does this mean?
You have to wait 7 days for it to switch to a Fine, afterwards you can pay it off. During the waiting time, you are wanted in the system that gave you the bounty. If you go to another system the local security there will not pick up the bounty even if they scan you. So you have to avoid that system so the local authority don't shoot you until the timer runs out and then you can go back and pay it. If you avoid the scan for the time period a Dormant Bounty shows, it becomes a Legacy Fine

In the event you end up with a Legacy Fine and are killed, your Legacy Fine will be added to your BuyBack (Insurance) price.

I have a dormant bounty of 6500 in a system and don't even remember what system I got it in.

This was a dormant bounty right away. I had only ever been to Tito Landing once (2 days ago), and that was when I got the fine, so I am not sure how it went to dormant bounty right away.

This was a dormant bounty right away. I had only ever been to Tito Landing once (2 days ago), and that was when I got the fine, so I am not sure how it went to dormant bounty right away.

No. Since it is dormant, at the end of the timer it will disappear and become a Legacy Fine and you wont see it. If you are scanned in Altair it will become active and police there can kill you for it. You can go anywhere else without issue since another commander in Mobius wont kill you for it.

The only way to clear it at this point is to get scanned by a police ship in Altair and let them kill you to clear it. If going to altair is important to you, grab a sidewinder and let the police scan you and shoot you.

And one that low was probably a docking issue where you either went in without docking permission, took too long in the slot, or hovered over another pad for too long. Or maybe sped in the area and another ship hit you. Either way, it should have not gone to a dormant bounty so quick.

Thanks Loriath. I think I'll just avoid Altair for the next 6 days. I just wanted to go to Altair 4 to see if that boy who was sent there by the Tommyknockers is still there. >.<

Is it dormant, or turned into a fine, I had a couple of bounties (Brib and Dvorsi) that both ran out sometime in the last 24 hours, they disappeared from my transactions but I was still able to pay the fines?
