According to a rank guide, there's a bug, but maybe that has been fixed. Also, it is said only the amount of credits counts, not the influence/rep/number of missions. Well, it is said ...

EDIT Just as I wrote this, a Ascension to Lord popped up, after 3 delivery missions. So got LordEddarded after popping a Mostly Harmless Cobra. Nice!
