Yes, it was good to see you in game Kharma. Or at least I saw your message as I was jumping out of the system I think.

As to application development - I'm glad that the SSC is not business critical, is not keeping hospitals running and is not responsible for managing anyone's life savings. Every time I look at it I realise something that is not quite right and needs a tweak, or a minor improvement to the code or interface. Gives me something to-do as a contrast to blowing up pirates. :D

I've started on a new feature for the SSC. If you want it to it can check at startup that your appconfig.xml has the entries in it to allow verbose logging, which is needed to find which system you are in. In the settings I've added a dialogue for selecting the relevant folder for the appconfig.xml and checkbox to enable it. This should help for those that forget that the file gets over-written when the client gets updated and haven't looked into appconfiglocal.xml (if that's still an option).
Needs testing to check when it takes effect but my guess is that if the launcher is running it will need to be stopped and restarted, so I'll check if it's running and prompt the user as well.

I've got an issue with it. Now it doesn't run. Double click and it 'loads' but nothing more than an entry in the system process's which I can't get to quit. The only way to get rid of it is to reboot. Is there something that should be installed (a runtime or something) that I could be missing?

Tried running as admin and nothing either. Tried going back a version same issue :( Just 3 entries in the Task Manager Process list :( And it hangs with explorer window its is run from to.

All it needs is the dotnet runtime :(
Have you got it set to run minimised to the notification area? Do you see the icon?
Other thought is that in testing I once found it running but off the screen because of changing resolution of which screen it was on, which I thought was sorted. If that's the case if you look for the user.config for it in your user/localapps/ area you can change the location to something sensible in the XML file and start up again. If it's that then I need to put another fix in.

EDIT: More useful info (hopefully)
Example path to user.config

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SSChanger\SSChanger.exe_Url_mj3q4sqs0f4qgpjyjtutvyduqi1fl3we\1.1.0.8\user.config

Section to look for -

Code: Select all

   <setting name="Location" serializeAs="String">
      <value>78, 78</value>
   </setting>

If the values are negative, change them to positive and have another go.

Hello, de Carabas.

I don't know if it is a bug but since the last Launcher update, SSChanger is not able to launch the game or detect when it is running.

Sorry Bariri, didn't see your post. Can one of you post the text from the log? Which version of the game do you play? Horizons, Dangerous 32 bit or Dangerous 64 bit?
