The pleasant thing about smuggling and running missions for OoM is that it's in Empire space. I have no problems culling the local "police" force when they get a little too desperate to see what I'm carrying.

Yep Smuggling just off the BB in the area around OoM space is quite lucrative. Made 5 million today being lazy. Also pulled over 600K in bounties and just over 1400 in fines - Mostly parking tickets when I was reading twitter

I have taken a trip with a UA out to Merope. The UA testing while there was bothersome. An NPC Eagle,with a rail-gun, in the Pleiades nebula, with no fuel scoop, tried to interdict me many times, and while my shields down doing UA tests he popped in again.
After scanning Merope, I then went back to Jaques. 500+ly round trip, and got scanned on the way in, 165,000 credit fine for carrying a UA.

But I did then get this

Clearing missions, emptying my hold, buying more hold space and heading back to the CG at Achenar. I'm already making 500,000cr a trip so with more space I'll be able to buy a new poerplant in no time.
