Just minding my own business, doing the usual bang up job Smuggling in and around the Azreal system, as I was about to drop out of SC into a station, I see in Local Chat from a Police Ship: "Suspected Smuggler, about to inderdict, Backup on Stand By" and I see the Green Marker fairly Close.

But I get the "Safe to Disengage" And Drop out at the station and realize I am not facing the slot, I am at about a 90 degree angle, about 8km out. But there are no "just out of range Targets" So I hit the silent running and then hit boost. All of a sudden there is a Police Viper that pops in from SC directly in front of me. Now remember, I had just hit Silent Running. I had also hit boost. Well, lets just say there was one hell of a collision, and I was down to about 40 hull. And I ask for Docking request, and Voice Attack complies. No Problem, except the Viper is now gunning for me due to unsafe driving and felony collision. He still hasn't scanned me.

Then it happens. 4km out, I am making my turn to line up with the slot and I hit boost just a fraction too soon. I try my hardest, but there is no way I can straighten out in time. The station gets larger and larger, and I Splat into the letter "B" in the word "Bask".

The worst Part? The rebuy screen shows I was killed by The cop. He gets credit for my death, when he wasn't even hitting me with his Pew Pews.

So I am out 350K for the Rebuy and I have to find some contraband to fulfil my contracts or my employers will get credit for another death of mine. And there were Three contracts I was delivering for at the station.

Gotta Love Smuggling now. It's a real money maker when a Cobra with a 40t cap can run half empty two jumps with 4 stacked Smuggling runs and make a little over a million

fighting an Elite Anaconda with 2 subordinates in a RES. his shields are getting lower. my shields are getting lower.

my shields drop completely. i can turn and run easily but i don't.
"i can still finish this guy off"

canopy breaks. no chance of making it back to the station at this point but i could jump to a nearby system with a closer base. i keep shooting.
"...just a little more..."

"well, fuck."

I have been in the "Just a bit more/I'm sure I can take him" situation quite a few times......

I have learnt to kick that feeling into touch.....But it is a strong one to resist...

Even today nearly came unstuck......Elite Dropship and 2 vipers......

Managed to get him and one of the Vipers......At a cost.....

At some point I had ranked up to lord and didn't realize it. So it came as a shock when a Rank mission to Baron popped up.

Seems to be working fine. I just fly around doing missions and they come up. Don't know why people say they are broken.

"Fire at Will" lets turrets only shoot at button pressure. Is that by purpose? It worked well without before the update ...

yeah because before it would let your ship happily overheat itself to death, like my first Anaconda almost did - it wasn't successfully killing anything except itself and the only way i could stop it was to retract the weapons.

also, it's supposed to stop situations where free-firing turrets hit cops or cleans and get you a wanted status

Was just collecting my weekly merits share at Evejitaka in an hour or so. No problem, but had to jump out two times when they ganged up on me.
Cobras are chaffing like mad. And these ASPs have turned to be the feeling-to-be most dangerous ships now ... easily confused, lumbering barn door targets, but if they get a lock than hell, do these rails burn through everything ... interesting.
