...i noticed that there's now some well buffed pirate kill missions for the lower ranks, i got one Expert level one for 1 million - and a Dangerous level one for 40(!) pirates worth 2 million, allowing almost 3 weeks to complete it.

this little bundle in the pic is worth just over 5 mil, not bad for a cmdr who's only ranked Dangerous.

I've just flown down to Azrael in a sidey in open as my son's CMDR after clearing his save.

What did he do to deserve that? Did he crash your car?

I spent last night doing pirate sweeps for the Order and it was nice to see other human players about for a change. Having a common base certainly makes it more of a social game.

Not yet - he's only 16. Plus, my wife is the one who crashes the car, so when it happens, it would be a bit hypocritical to react too harshly.

I got him E:D for Christmas last year and he couldn't cope with how complex it is. I used his login for the Sidewinder Race when we hit 10,000 members (CMDR PurplePhury) but it's been dormant otherwise. Clearing the save had no drawbacks and a couple of benefits.

I think he might consider a return - he's asked me not to do anything that I want to "keep", so he can clear it again if ever he restarts.

I have to admit, it's been fun being back in a sidey...

wow! Bacon City is busy, lots of CMDRs there for the CG.

Exploring again, the bar says I'm 75% of the way to Elite. I'm well aware of the problems they've been having, but they say they are on top of them now and I won't have lost more than half a dozen systems if the worst has happened. Manage to find some unexplored stuff still within the area where you find signal sources, so I guess not too many people have been off in this direction.

Slowly getting used to my new setup RL wise and realising with a little time it's just getting better and better

In game running missions for the first time again since 1.3 dropped for the order, alternating between Donna and my courier 'white lightning', still haven't found an imperial eagle though..

Extreme res sites are awsome

Ai is different - some ships just rotate when shot. One parked on an asteroid.

Interdiction is now really hard.

More enemy ships all over from different factions.

I nearly lost my ship cooking about with flight assist off when docking.

Don't fly in dark res sites. Lost a Vulture like that.
