Cap ship battle, you've seen the video, now see it in game!

the Lauma system, 94 LY from Azrael has conflict zones close to its main station, in at least one of them you will find 2 cap ships going head to head, one Fed, one Empire. be sure to bring plenty of shield cells

no, i don't think we will ever get to fly a cap ship

OK so I was in Wurango, 180LY or so away, trading but I had an
Anaconda parked there for those "just in case" moments. After seeing
this post I parked the T9, did a Bo Duke slide over the hull of my
Conda and jumped through the window into the pilot's seat and set
course for Lauma. I found the High Conflict Zone right away and not
more than 15 seconds after entering it, one of the capital ships
jumped in and it was SPECTACULAR! I've seen videos of these monsters
jumping into a system and opening fire but never witnessed it myself.
I've seen a cap ship once parked, doing nothing, in the SOL system but
nothing eventful....couldn't even get close to it. But this time was
different. I had cameras rolling and will upload and post link to the video here
tomorrow.

Thanks!! I just went and checked this out. The first CZ I jumped into had just an Interdictor jump in... flagged for the Federation! o.O

The second one had two properly flagged battleships jump in, and I took the chance to have my first capship combat encounter... strafing the FNS Neptune and taking chunks out of a couple of her Heat Relays. That was all I could do by myself, though. Cut it pretty close on one attack run; lost shields and down to just over 50% hull.

You still in that system Pulsar? We can wing up and see what we can do. It would be cool to get some other Mobius group commanders in there as well.

If I wasn't already in a system with 13 RES & 3 CZ (at least 2 with CapShips) I'd swan over for a shufti.

As it is, I'm happy Hi-RES pirate killing until I reach Master - 24% to go
