Near a full days time invested into game so far. Learned a lot of hard "don't do this" lessons those first couple hours. Eventually figured out how to start making some cash in my sidey and bumped up for an Eagle and started out to the great unknown (well unknown to me anyways).

The learning curve in E-D is kinda steep... but once it starts to make sense, the game is a blast!

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimate to the game while having fun.

I'm guessing you bounced off the station walls without requesting docking permission a few times? I've been playing a few week and i still do this

Ha, I still do that lol. Biggest lessons were: running out of fuel and don't idle about in supercruis wen you're at <40% hull int.

My personal favorite: Don't check nav or comms menus for any length of time while speeding through an asteroid belt.

Ah yeah, the old "interdicted without warning" scenario ;p

I tend to hit full throttle in any old direction if i need to AFK in supercruise, end up coming back to a ship doing 1400c but thats never hurt anyone.. right?
