Got my ass kicked in a CZ by a conda, two pythons and two Elite vultures. Made it to the station with 7% hull and 1 minute of air only to scratch the conda at the mailslot and...

almost 20Mil in insurance, bonds and bounties....

I have limited time during the week to play. Only a couple of hours or so. So I spent an hour swatting ncp's in a CZ at Xuanduna > my rank of master to add another 4% to my combat rank, then I did the slaves run for another hour or so to make my 10M Cr target. At this rate I should make elite trader in 3 months lol. Its an obsession. I wanted to go back to hutton with tiddles to offer support for those there, but i admit I wonder if 1 vulture vs the griefers would make a difference. Especially as I am not pvp trained. I have a thing with bullies. maybe tonight.

Damn, that sucks. :(

I don't know why, but they tend to include a whole lot of pain whenever you scrape a conda without shields. This usually happens to me while smuggling. I'd always have about at least 5-8% hull integrity taken off regardless of scraping the rails lightly or with more force.

Maybe you can call fellow GS wingmates to help you out. I'm pretty sure Veyder and the other guys from the combat division would like to help out. I've decided to totally stay away from PvP though, so I can't provide support on that. :P

@ Thread:

It's always dawned to me that I should get back to exploring soon. Seeing just the recent screenshots are tempting enough to start another voyage from civilized space, which would surely take days.

Trying to resist, but I find myself contemplating that I should do it again soon, although I doubt I'd have the patience for it; I self-destructed somewhere in the core before when I started getting burned out of the game.

The galmap is procedurally generated from a seed value. Systems can and have flipped since launch, and their actual status is retrieved from the FD servers on arrival in supercruise - it may not match what's on the galmap. My current exploration was prompted by a big bounty on my head that I got from an assassination mission in a so-called anarchy.

Back home.... safe and sound after my exploration trip to Sag A*. :D

There were tons of very cool sights to see, as is evident from all of my posts in the 'General Screenshots' thread.

One of my goals upon return to the bubble was to use my exploration data to gain rep with Alliance. So... I headed for Zaonce first and submitted many, many pages until I was allied with the major faction. I then hopped over to Lave and Diso to do the same.

Oh.... did I mention .... I'm active in Power Play and am an Arissa L-D supporter. So.... I was considered to be "Hostile" while flying in Alliance space. No biggie.... it's just my blood, sweat, and tears for the last 18 days riding along in the form of data! :o

When I was about 7 seconds out from Diso... yup... INTERDICTED! Of course I ran like a scared school girl! Boost, boost, jump. Luckily he didn't follow me and drop in behind me at the station. THANK GOD I had shields! They were down to one ring before I was able to jump.

I settled in at Diso and submitted page after page of data (is there a way to know how many pages you have?) until I finally get to "allied" status with the major faction there too. I ended up as 'friendly' with the Alliance, whom I had never done any work with before. Not bad for just turning in data and getting paid. ;)

I only paid out $18,956 in repairs and rearm. Not bad, IMO.

I made $26,680,679. Decent considering that I was rushing the last half of the trip home and I was only exploring for 18 days.

There are now 856 objects that were first explored by yours truly. 8-)

My explorer rank went from Surveyor at 56% to Ranger at 26%. Up three classes!

All in all it was a good trip. I lothe the route planner when you get close to the core, though. That was frustrating as hell. An auto pilot would be nice too.... so that you could set it up for .... oh... say..... 5k ly and go have lunch.

The addition of CQC may prompt me to go on another exploration trip after a while, since you can jump into CQC and switch to normal game mode easily. For now, my Asp will get put into storage while my Python and Vulture will receive some much needed attention.

Well done :)
I'm debating whether to continue to Sag A* or make my way back. It will add about 15,000 ly to my trip, but I've got a cracked canopy and I don't want to push my luck.

I don't! And' I'm already down to the mid 80s on my hull and my canopy has some cracks. I'm a bit worried now... Although at the moment, I'm allied with everyone and not in PP so it's only pirates I should worry about. I might request an escort on my return...

Gonna have a quick look through my black holes and earth likes to see if you've beaten me to the sale with any of the ones I've just scanned...

I've noticed that it seems to struggle if you've plotted several routes already. Quitting to desktop seems to sort out the route planner.

Since you're not in PP, you shouldn't have any trouble. I wouldn't worry about it much. Probably 90% of my interdictions are because of PP. <sigh>

I restarted E-D several times, and eventually had to deal with the fact that within about 2-3k ly from Sag A*, I could only plot 2 jump routes. It sucked. I have heard of the same scenario from many others who have had to deal with that issue as well. :x
