Well after the disappointment off not getting any off my data back (as expected) I did get a refund on my ship after it blew up randomly on the outer edges I headed back out there. Picked a random direction and bugged out . About 13,000 Ly's out at present found this nice Earth like on the way

Couldn't resist and went exploring in a De-Ratted Diamontback E, currently in Witch Head on my way to Orion. A MUST for you-know-which-classic players. Everything seems explored, though (no wonder). Let's see how it goes ...

Must be a well traveled path, I'm a mere 1100 out from sol and has been seeing plenty of undiscovered planets.
Only been a few unexplored systems but there has been a few.

Just doing combat for now. Might go back to exploring soon if I can reach elite on combat this coming week.

Thinking of using either a Type 6, 7, or a Type 9 just to stay out of the norm. Heck, maybe even a Federal Dropship might do.

Siren the Anaconda got a bit chewed up a short while ago in a Strong Signal Source. i needed to kill 10 pirates for a mission and managed to find 9 of them in a single SSS - a wing of 4 Vipers and another of 5 Vultures - they were reluctant to help us complete our mission but Siren managed to vapourise them all by herself.

she wouldn't have taken any damage at all, except for a bug where SCBs won't fire unless you cycle through the fire groups first.




thank you to VictoriaG who posted her Anaconda setup which showed me where i was going wrong with my own. Siren now has gimballed weapons and 'A' thrusters, instead of turrets and 'D' thrusters - wow, what a huge difference it made.

So, I am just smuggling along in my Cobra. I watch my six constantly. I notice a Python working to get behind me and I swig wildly. Sad to say he manages to get on me and the Mini Game begins. I lose track for a split second and lose the game. Suddenly my smugglers cobra is not a nice place to be with a Python beating on it. I notice a second ship. Its a system authority ship.

In chat I see "Crime Committed" and he opens fire on the Python. My shields drop and my hull is going down. I get down to 15% as the Viper takes his attention of me and I manage to Jump to SC. I am only 15ls from my outpost to drop battle weapons. I drop into normal space and right in front of me drops another system authority viper. I hit silent running and chaff as I zoom to the station. I manage to get real close. I am about 20 meters from the safety of the outpost when the Viper Kills me.

Don't mind the rebuy, but the cost of the smuggling goods so I can keep the contracts are giving me a loss. But it was the most fun I have had in a while!

Having just saved for some A Grade shields I decided to pop into a High CZ to try them out, there's another CMDR there (apologies if I stole a kill from you when I first arrived, didn't see you to start with), we exchange greetings and go about our business, clearly both trying to stay out of each others way. After happily blowing things up for a while I'm quite far away from the main pack, when four ships suddenly spawn and decide I'm the target of the day, not having any SCBs, and with my shields dropping I decide it's time to call it a day and head for the station to cash in my vouchers.

Whilst deciding what to do next, I glance at the mass (or mess if you listen to the wife) of papers on my desk and notice a printout of the 'Centum Imperialis' trade circuit, I'm only one jump from the first system. Hmm, I don't have the greatest jump capacity in the world, but what the hell, think of it as a Busman's holiday.

It appears that Flip is trying to discover 1/2 of the universe on his own.

Yeah, got some nice finds, but I still have to get back to the human space and be the first to sell the data to make them count.

But don't worry, even if I make it, that data will be a mere drop in the galactic ocean.
