Hi!

I have played both Elite and Frontier on the Amiga way back then, and settled rather quickly into the seat of my new ships here in Elite: Dangerous.

As for PvP, if I get attacked in Open I will respond in kind, ducking and shooting until the local police arrives to help me. :)

If there is a war, PvP is fine with me, I can chose to leave and go about my business (licking my financial wounds) but I want to be able to trade not worrying about a fully decked anaconda one-shotting me.

I remember back in one of the old games when I had the largest freighter and installed so many shield I basically rammed anything stupid enough to attack me. For the Thargoids I carried a mass accelerator. I still had plenty of space for fuel and cargo.

Looking forward to seeing you in the group, and perhaps try some of the powerplay features eventually.

Hi Everyone,

I played Elite on the BBC Micro (and other 8 bit systems) in the 80's. My favourite game of all time.

As I don't live in the UK anymore I only happened across a BBC news article discussing the game in 2014. I immediately bought the Beta Mercenary version. I only wish I had known about the Kickstarter campaign before, as I would have supported from Alpha! Anyway, here now and loving the game.

I'm particularly interested in Mobius as I'm tired of being griefed and ganked (and any other unsociable g's) all through PVP - my cat like reflexes are sadly missing now

Anyway, hope to see you out in the black ..

Fly safe!

Hey there fellow CMDRS!

I've been playing ED since it came out but have been playing solo for the most part. I tried the open play a few times but was put off by the insurance costs!

I was well chuffed to find a group with like minded players who are in it for the co-op more than anything else. I've still to try out the wings in elite and to get to grips with the comms as well! (as a poor cmdr bravestar found out the other day when i friended him, and then failed to reply to his messages as I couldn't work out the diffenece between 'direct' and 'local' chat. Apologies if you're reading! Durgh!)

I live in the Highlands of Scotland and get on for some time usually on a Friday through the day or the odd evening when the weather is crap, which it always is here! I'm set up in Wolf 906 just now.

Hope to bump into some decent folks out there, so gies a shout if ye fancy!

Slainté

New to the game and the series. Been playing for a month and I'm hooked. Heard about a PvE group and thought I'd check it out. Have played enough FPS to know that I have no desire to deal with the griefers and trolls that often come with MMOGs. Hopefully this group will enjance my already enjoyable experience. Is there anything special needed to join this group in online play?

You can find some super easy to follow instructions on joining the Mobius group in-game here.

Also, on that note!

Don't forget to check the policy page here, if you haven't yet, and feel free to add your name to the in game friend list.

Hi all, Peppy here, just joined. Been playing Elite for a little while although I only play for a few hours here and there.

Spent my early days playing in the open world but sadly of late I've found myself forced into solo play to avoid getting blown out of the sky for no reason (No cargo or bounty). Of course, I'm now floating around a rather large amount of space alone; which kind of defeats the point of multiplayer gaming.

This group seems to be ideal :)
