Mobius Faction?

So, I am new to Mobius and kind of late to the discussion; but aside from a name is there a concensus on how and where you guys wanna do this? Is there a specific system or faction that would be supported by mobius in order to gain the kind of galactic presence to become a power? I am currently involved in powerplay, but would be interested in doing something like creating a new power in the galaxy. That is something that sounds like a lot of fun to be involved in.

As far as I understand it we will become a minor faction in our own right. In line with the basic ethos of this group the faction will not be aligned to any of the powers or major factions, but will be independent (but potentially with ties to the Pilot's Federation).

Whilst no final decision has been announced, Mobius Station in Hernkopa seems to be the most likely home base.

Ahhh, didn't even know about this mobius station. I am gonna have to look it up in the Starmap and see where it is and check it out.

There are several systems where the BB is stuck on begging missions. I believe the Influence system is also stuck and two of the factions are in a perpetual civil war that is interspersed with short cooling-off periods. You can earn cash but you will have no influence on the Influence.
There has been a lot of discussion on the main forums on these and other problems that were introduced in 1.3 (for example: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthrea ... ost2452595). The hope is that they will all be fixed with the "awesome" (™MBrookes) content to be released in 1.4.
Please don't hold your breath in anticipation as asphyxiation can cause serious side-effects.

Hey all, I'm a newbie here but I am up for anything you all decide. I love this game but:

Done the mining, trading, exploration, bounty farming/fishing thing...

Done the PP thing for Fed and Empire... dumped that because frankly it just seemed like my grinding was irrelevant and just plain "didn't matter"

Done the Anaconda thing... got too many credits still burning a hole in my pocket... nearly at Elite combat rank... now what????

What I want is sooooo simple; give me something to care about!!! A common cause I can at least "virtually" give a damn about. Something that me and my closest "Mobius" crew can defend/fight for...

I personally don't really care if Frontier pushes PP or simply updates the game mechanics to make that happen... I can deal with the "jittering"... the naval progression issue (if there really is one)... small bugs don't bother me if I have a higher purpose.

Geez, I guess my coffee just kicked it.

Left Barnard's Star and now made my home at Hernkopa... great choice and has my vote!
