)The Cartography does appear to be fixed for now so that's good but I still don't really understand it.
If you buy data what do you get for your money? Named system planets and what else? At the moment 99% of stations are available even if the entire systems planets are unknown, so what's the point of buying any data apart from filling out the system maps?
I'm wondering whether the finalised Cartography/exploration will mean that apart from the systems we have now the rest will be totally unknown (outside of their main star/stars), so that even stations will be unknown until a Cmdr discovers them. That would make a lot more sense in buying/selling data and should make selling data much more lucrative.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.
