I use a C3 PA on the Lower hard point now and it is my go to power plant destroyer. Couple of good hits and it's shields down and power plant very damaged. Then beams to finish off. Just have to mind the heat when in a serious battle. When heat goes too high I switch to cannons and again mash the power plant with them. It's exceeding effective.

That was my rubbish tapatalk posting effort lol. I meant C3 as in class 3 (large) and indeed B rank weapon. Most definitely most satisfying when you land the shots on target I agree

Tried two C2 plasma accelerators on the "Princess Poppy", they do a heck of a lot of damage, they also take quite some power from my weapon energy reserve. Fighting against RES anacondas that's not really an issue, they aren't that dangerous to face. However I also took on an elite anaconda in an assassination mission. In that fight I really never had enough 'spare' power to use the accelerators as I had to use any spare energy on the lasers to keep the pressure on the enemy (and I'm not that great a combat pilot).
I didn't encounter any heat issues, although I'm flying a fully kitted python now.
The turrets I'll forgo, I can already imagine the drain those would be on my weapons energy reserve. I'll give both the rail guns and the fixed cannons another try to see if I prefer them over the plasma accelerators.

I'm sitting in the coriolis cantin and in the corner of my eyes I watch the GalNet screen and waiting for 1.3 to strike.
Until then I have to decide what sort of spaceship I would ike to fly.
Since the beginning I had only one ship at a time and would like to keep it that way but with the powers coming with their different sorts of aggression I may have to consider keeping a sturdy hauler and a smaller, more vigilant ship as well.

Right now I wait for some advanced catalysers to be packed into my T-9 which I can take away some 27 ly distance (for this old piece of junk it takes a lot of jumps to get to the destination) and while I'm out in the void I can think further...

Still exploring god knows where! Haven't come across a fully unexplored system yet but have come across a few partials. Busy family life (building trampolines and the like) have meant that game time has been limited. Should get an hour or so tonight with any luck.
