Preferred by whom? Personally I think attaching the Mobius name to any power or major faction could have detrimental effects, something that I raised in a post a few weeks ago and in my opinion goes against the ethos of the group. Imagine if you will that "Empire Consulate" (the faction that runs Rafferty's Mobius) is made into a power by the actions of players in this group. Then that power has the Mobius name attached, players thinking of joining Mobius Group, be they new or seasoned commanders fed up with open/solo will quite understandably view Mobius Group as an Empire faction/power. Using a hypothetical split of player allegiance that could alienate 2/3rds of players who then might not join and/or existing group members. I'll make no secret of my complete disdain for the empire, but I don't think the Mobius name should be attached to any of the 3 major factions.
The other point to consider is that of the 8000+ players that have joined the group only approx 25% have registered to this forum and even less post with any regularity.
