Just headed back to cash in my bounties from my latest RES hunt, about 3 hours of non stop Conda's, Dropships, Pythons and Clippers.

Got another 4 Mil to cash in when I get to Empire or Alliance space - which I will prob do while trading later

Where is that RES? I keep finding eagles and sidewinders.......

Is there a real difference between RES, or is it all down to the RNG?

As far as I understand it - the NPC's found in RES are populated when you jump into the area - what most people do is either Jump out and back in if they are in a Wing to "reset" the RES and hope for bigger ships to pop up. Or if they are playing alone they just log out and back in.

I do something a bit different - if it's just small ships I find near the marker - I kill them and then fly a loop around 15-20km away from the marker - quite often I then find a Clipper or a Python etc. Only if I don't find anything larger on my loop do I relog to try and reset the instance.

You have to remember the ships you see are only the ones in your sensor range - it's more than likely that 20km away an Anaconda is in a furious battle with system security. You could be fighting a Cobra 5km below the field - while 5km above a Clipper has just popped in. If your friendly with the local system security - look out for when all the green icons vanish from your radar - they've often gone off to fight a bigger ship.

Also sometimes the Sidewinders can have large bounties also - I've had 75k from Sidewinder and 90K from an Eagle.

i'll do something similar myself. watching where the security go to is always helpful, as is their laser fire

but i've come to the conclusion that there can only be X number of ships in the area from one faction at a given time - so if i'm not finding anything large, then i kill all the smaller ones to make room for something better. of course, sometimes the RNG roll is utter shit and i'll exit/re-enter for something better

i'm seeing a lot of doubles now, which i never used to - 2 Clappers, 2 Annies, 2 Pythons - unrelated to each other, not in wings or anything like that, often not even in the same part of the RES. it used to only be one at a time, once

payouts from the Facece community goal are just about to buy me a new Ferdie (again) plus some new parts for my Python, it has been a very lucrative couple of days there. 5 more mil tonight and then i'm done, i'll head back to the Leesti project

I really need to work more on my Empire and Fed rep to get the last few permits, ahh well there's always next time

Have wandered down to Hors in anticipation of a CG after seeing the GalNET news, nothing happening yet, but there are a bunch of very busy RES so made a couple of million last night bounty hunting. Possibly something will click in after the current Empire one ends, I think I’ll hang around for a few days and clock up some credits in the RES, then move on if nothing appears.
