Hello,

I am Feral Erik. I am in Canada (most of the time) and would like to try out wings in conflict zones to see how they work out. I made the mistake of going into a conflict zone in open and was torn to bits by a wing of pvp'ers and thought... "That's the kind of game I don't want to play."

I do, however, want to try wings, but from a player vs. environment perspective.

I have a Viper parked in Sol, a Cobra parked in Lugh and my Type-9 money-maker parked in Fed Space to pay the proverbial bills.

Feral Erik

Hi.

My name is Mark (I play as CMDR Markoz). I lost my left arm in a motorcycle accident many years ago, but I strive to do the best that I can. I really enjoy computer gaming, but online gaming is hard for me unless I find a group of people who respect that I am not going to be the greatest asset/adversary they will meet. I believe that this is just such a group. :)

I am hopeless at fighting in Elite: Dangerous, and after the loss of too many ships being destroyed by people who simply chose to destroy me regardless of being "clean", and/or not carrying any cargo (griefers?), so I went to the safety of Solo Mode. NPC's are relatively easy to escape from (at least most times they are).

Hopefully I will meet up with you fellow space farer's out there.

Hello! My name is Mark, pleased to meet you all.

I've dabbled in Open, but I've spent the vast majority of my time in Solo. I was perfectly happy there until the Wings update, and now it feels like I'm missing out on some of the cooler aspects of the game.

I've read the various horror stories about Open on the Frontier forums, and while I haven't experienced any of it firsthand I'd still rather not open myself up to the possibility of being griefed or whatever other forms of nonsense people will come up with to ruin my day. And frame shift interdiction is one of my most disliked game mechanics of all time, second only to stun locking, so there's that too.

So here I am! Technically I haven't even joined the group yet, but I plan to submit the request after work today. I look forward to seeing you all in space!

Thanks.

Hello fellow Commanders,

Cmdr. SoliDeoGloria here.

Battleweary ex-EVE and current BSGO pilot looking for a truly PvE experience. Truly excited to be here.

I have already decided that Elite Explorer is the career for me. I'll be leaning on my fellow PvEr's for your advice on the best path to get exploring quickly.

I look forward to seeing you all in space.

Hey everyone! My name is Josh (CMDR Foosh in game).

29 years old and ED is my first space sim of this nature and so far I'm really enjoying it. Been playing about a month and after getting the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS and doing some bounty hunting, I am in love with this game. I find Open Play to be more trouble than it's worth and I heard about Mobius on Reddit and it sounded exactly what I was looking for in this type of game. Hope to run into some friendly commanders in the near future and perhaps take part in some conflicts :D

Hi,

Commander Squiffy here.

I'm an indie games designer and lecturer in London, UK.
Looking for a fun group of wings to join up with and take part in some skirmishes!

Mildly Empire aligned at the moment.

I'll ask to join the group once I'm in-game, but thought I'd stop by forums first just so someone sees my name. I spent about 3 hours last night reading through the thread on the official forums while I was 400ly away from home, and decided this was the group for not just me, but my wife, son, and best friend (BFF is playing, wife and son are saving up their money for a real HOTAS as kb/m and 360 controller just aren't cutting it, plus they want me to know what the heck is going on so I can teach them lol).

Me: I write fiction books for a living (mostly science fiction, some fantasy, some hard-boiled crime fic, some horror, pretty much everything but erotica and contemporary romance). My wife teaches AP US History and such at the high school level. We're very nerdy.

I played Eve-Online from alpha on until a couple of years ago, so close to a decade of Eve. I went from carebear to hardened lowsec pirate with Shadow Cartel alliance (Immortalis, Inc. corp) with some of the best pvp'ers I've ever met (we regularly took on 80-man+ gangs and wiped them with our 30-50 man "Repgu" and other RR gangs, when we weren't hot-dropping them in our Black Ops crews!).

Eve... I love it. There will never be a pvp game as intense. Ever (maybe, but for now, nothing has ever come close to the sheer adrenaline and excitement of watching 70 bs/bc + carriers jump into the middle of our gang and suddenly the world tilts sideways as all hell breaks loose).

That being said, that part of my gaming life is done for now. I simply don't have the time to invest waiting around 2+ hours for our fleet to assemble then roam around the galaxy for hours looking for targets (not single miners or haulers, though if you enter our domain, that's your problem lol, but we mostly looked for real fights with other gangs and Faction Warfare crews). We (family) want a nice, easy-going PvE life to enjoy Elite. No, I nor any of my 'crew' are interested in PvP or being jerks. I do have some Eve pals playing, and I'll probably join them in open here and there, but for now, I'm in a serious exploration mood. With Wings, Elite is even better (and I know it is still not finished game by any means).

Anyway, that's me. Hope to see you guys and gals around the spacelanes, and hoping I and my peeps can help out where needed (ie: if you need some faction help or help busting up an NPC pirate gang, etc, I'm "AngryGames" in the game!).

Mobius: Thanks for getting this group started. I'm not surprised at all by the 5500+ pilots who have joined. If Eve had a PvE-only server or format, you'd probably see about 50% of the playerbase migrate to it. Eve is not about PvE at all in my opinion, but all the exploration of nullsec and hunting officers and such... that's fun, but I got tired of always looking over my shoulders or having to stealth up whenever someone entered the system. Elite, for me, is all about doing what I want without having to constantly be paranoid someone is going to gank my 6+ billion is Loki while I'm trying to get an A- or B- faction module from a 10/10 plex ;).
I write books for a living! (they're terrible! don't read them!)

Hi there everyone!

In game I'm CMDR The Natoorat.

I have just bought an Asp and at the moment I'm running a trading route between Jonai and Cauani (let's see how long it holds), my self-designated home system is Yu Di Yi (quite good shipyard and decent outfitting facilities). However, after grinding enough money to get proper exploration equipment, I plan to go on "Random Galaxy Run"tm, that is jumping from system to system without looking at the Galaxy Map, so I have no idea where I end up.

Ah... Just a star to steer by and this on Winamp:
