There aren't any rare thingys for sale in the region I'm in (or at least, not in either of the two systems in which I currently spend most of my time

). There was a rare commodity of some kind for sale in my starting system (Shinrarta Dezhra, the Founders' World), but that's ages away now. I might go back there at some point. Anyway, I might risk fuel scooping at some point but for the time being I'm paranoid that I'll get a bit too crispy and generally don't want to deliberately fly into the huge burning sphere that takes up most of my screen whenever I jump into a system and has uber gravity and all that

. I did nearly get killed by a star once, actually, - it was a white dwarf in a system I had to jump into as part of a route elsewhere (when I was making my way from Shinrarta Dezhra to Sol) and within moments of entering the system and pulling up as usual I was getting heat warnings and all sorts - had to fly toward an escape vector to not die. So that was kind of scary. I must not have pulled up enough because the star was smaller than the more orangey ones I tend to encounter

.
Maybe this'll be a task for my old Sidewinder, if I have a space there I can stick a fuel scoop into. I'm less fussed about losing that, considering I didn't have to pay for it, and all
