To add to iCH3AT5's suggestion for sneaking out, use silent running mode. If you do, you'll heat up quickly, though, so be prepared to use one or more heatsinks.

Thanks for the hints, going to read a little then go for it lol. Is it too late if I try and leave normally and boost if I get the scan warning?

Kind of odd, almost positive they scanned me on the way in. Maybe it's a glitch and when I log back in it will be back to normal, probably not.

When entering, they often start scanning but don't finish because you break line of sight when you enter the station.

Scanning has a range, so you might be able to boost out of range.
Might also help to watch the as the authority ships fly about and exit when they seem to be far.


So for stealth, you can try:

Four pips to engines, boost just inside the station, turn silent running on, drop a heatsink, turn off modules to reduce heat and coast out. If a scan starts, you can try drop chaff.

For running:

Four pips to engines, boost just inside the station. If a scan starts, boost again and drop chaff.


A YouTube search might help too - there are probably videos showing smuggling techniques.

Have now made enough credits to store the Hauler and buy a medium equipped Eagle to go for some bounty hunting.

Yeah, sorry I didn't reply, I had just stored my Cobra and bought my LT6 and that was my first flight in it, didn't want to scrape the new paintwork especially as an NPC was being destroyed by the station weapons right inside the airlock .. When I got outside Cleve you had vanished from my contacts.
