Just pulled into Garrett Hub with nearly 100K credits to my name that I got trading and running missions while bumming about in my little Sidewinder and now I'm thinking about getting a hauler and outfitting that do some mining in the Frey belt while keeping the Sidey for some light bounty hunting (going to pick up a shield cell before doing that though) Once I make enough creds, I'll probably pick up an Adder and outfit it for exploration and general purpose work. I think I'm going to call Frey home for a while.

I just finished grading some discussion posts and assignments in two of my classes and seeing my mother--she's doing better, thankfully. Still have some more assignments to grade and then one more class that I need to grade discussions and assignments for. Thankfully, this is a long weekend and I'm pretty much ahead on their coursework for the coming weeks.

I sold my T7 last night, bought an ASP, slept and now I'm ready to go exploring

Been a mostly harmless merchant surveyor for as long as I can remember. I didn't play for 4-5 days as I was too sick with the flu/cold. Got back in last night, after being denied most of the afternoon, and found my old trade route working too well. Normally, after 3-4 runs, the prices would change. I probably did 20 runs last night. There was always 1569T of gold available. I'd take my 120T, sell them each for 1512cr profit, and return a short while later to find 1569T available at the same price. I wouldn't call it an exploit, but there may be a glitch in the trading system.

Anyway, I now have enough cash to buy a T7 and garage my Asp, but until I find a decent station-to-station trade route, I think I'll just keep going with the Asp. I do enjoy the Asp.

Btw, with my time off, I forgot how to play the game. I got interdicted by a pirate named Kick the Bucket. I got him lined up w/o a shot fired, but I thought I couldn't shoot because I didn't want to become a criminal. So I turned away and let him get a shot at me so he would turn red. With just a couple hits, my hull was down 3%. I took care of him in just a few seconds, but for only a 2000cr bounty at the cost of 10,000cr repairs. Of course, he was wanted, so I could have taken him out w/o any damage, but I forgot.

did enough trading in my cobra (miss kitty...her name is miss kitty) earlier this week to kit it out for exploring the way i wanted. a2 fuel scoop, intermediate d-scanner (figured that's enough) and surface scanner. no cargo racks, and even took off my weapons (of course an npc tried to interdict me the very next jump). did a little local exploring around where i was trading, then yesterday i decided to set off into the 'verse. i'm still in populated space, cuz i think i was being tail by (or at least kept seeing on my contacts every jump) an eagle, but i haven't seen a station in a system in a few. heading toward the center of the galaxy, doing detailed scans along the way, though i may turn back when i think i've stored up plenty of data to sell.

tl dr: started off trading. now exploring
