Movie - Generation Ships

If you like this idea try a TV program 'Ascension' , not sure it got past season one but interesting stuff..

If thats the one where they are mining the astroids. It did get another season, altho we wont see it for awhile. I dont think anyone expected it to get further than the first season but it was accually really good. Proper Scifi

No asteroid mining in this one (but do tell me what the name of it is). The one I am thinking of has the actress from BSG in it.

Ah - I was expecting to see some massive defensive weapons.

I'm not sure I like the looks of that ship - too artsy (and alien) for a massive freighter.

I stopped expecting science fiction from Hollywood now.
Best we can hope for is mildly entertaining space fantasy.

I thought that "The Martian" was pretty good. I'd read the book and the film seemed to follow it pretty well.
The science wasn't perfect, but they didn't do too badly.

There are 3 factions "The Earthers", "The Martians" and "The Belters"
All human tho. All all happens in our solar system.

(The Belters mine the astroid belt. I like how thier children's Childrens cant live on earth anymore because they are all tall, skinny and have buggger all muscle mass cause of 0G)
