And thank you for accepting me into the Mobius group.
I'm a 40y old Finnish guy who plays ED randomly, sometimes 6h a day everyday for a week and sometimes you won't see me in 2 weeks at all.
I bought the mercenary edition and started playing at release. I went for open side and for a while it was fine, until dark matter started hitting the fan. Being randomly killed without any reason while mining and so on. The usual stuff, I'm sure you know as I bet many of you are here for that same reason.
It was just yesterday I heard about Mobius for the first time, and sent a request after doing a bit of googling of course

I have never been a big fan of pvp in any game, mostly because I suck in it and I'm tired of buying new keyboards. Yep, I am a bad loser too

To be honest I'm not that great in pve either, but at least I do a bit better.
That said I have played some pvp games, like World of Tanks and Warships, and I might even like Warships a little bit

I fly with xbone controller and dream about Thrustmaster Warthog.. It is expensive and buying it for just one game that I play randomly just makes me think thrice. Other ED related gear is trackhat clip, a cheap version of trackir head tracking. Works well for my purposes and for my wallet too. But it was dangerous at first.. For some reason I expected the ship to fly in the direction where I was looking and almost crashed to the station wall inside the station. Just kept watching the mailslot slowly disappearing over my head and wondered why the ship is not going there. Needless to say the cockpit was full of hands at this point and by some miracle I managed to stop the ship. Luckily I have learned to fly a little bit better than that since.
Some other MMOs I have played include WoW of course.. and EvE online which I actively played about for 2 years in it's early years. I've tried to play Guild Wars 2 but never really got into it. Don't really know why. WoW I played for many many years until lately I just stopped. Run out of interesting things to do. I probably will pop in there sometimes to say hi to the old guild and run solo some old instances.
First time I saw Elite was on friends C-64, but never got my own 64 no matter how much I begged for it. But then I did get Amiga 500 and of course had Elite for it. Another game I had for Amiga was Virus, and just lately I learned that Mr. Braben was responsible for that game too. But I have never seen other Elite sequels.
But anyways, better stop writing at this point, you probably have skipped to this row anyway by now

TL;DR - Just some old bearded Finnish guy who listens to death metal flies with you now.
