For goodness sake. It's a game, it's not an investment. You're paying 30 quid for access to a new expansion, not investing your life savings.
If you don't want to buy it then don't but for goodness sake don't try to make it more than it is.
Many AAA games only have a story line lasting a few tens of hours, if that, I've played more than that in the last two weeks in Elite. Horizons appears to me to be the start of something interesting. I'm prepared to "invest" in that but if you're not that's fine.
