The AI has improved a LOT since 1.5 it feels more 'real' now that NPCs fight like they mean it

UK daytime is my usual game time. I have based my vette and python at Miller. I have been winging up regularly with Cmdr Telengo and various other cmdr's. It seems clear we are winning this war and I believe it will soon be over as long as the fantastic support continues. As well as combat, I am doing, and urge others to as well, OoM missions to keep the upward push of Exiorce OoM influence going. This war though is just the dress rehearsal for the time we reach influence parity with the controlling faction. When that day comes, and we get the chance to take over a station in Exiorce, I hope we are prepared and have our skills honed to the point we can achieve the victory.

Just a couple of notes for last nights session.

On two occasions I was against a Cutter. Took down his power plant and while the PP was at 1-3% started a ramming run at me.
I avoided and while turning to finish the kill some other commander dropped in and finished the cutter off stealing the kill.

Ok once ti can happen, twice is a coincidence but the third time while I was finishing off a Clipper the CMDR went directly in front of me in my line of fire (I stopped firing of course) ramming the Clipper and stealing the kill.

Don''t get me wrong I am not complaining, it is not about the money or the kill as I am already Elite in combat but it is definitely not cool.
It would be better if the commander asked me to wing up and share the profits.

I will probably have a go in the next hour or so. I'm out of practice and in a Viper III so will probably go to low intensity CZ. If my hull goes too low I'll probably jump as I'm saving up for a Vulture. I'm happy Winging with other Cmdrs but as I've only tried it a couple of times before I don't want to slow anyone down, although I think I've got a general idea now.

Was in the high intensity cz in my viper the other day, had a good guardian angel in a corvette, but when I did come under fire, it wasn't a "shields gone insta" it was all workable - sit on the fringe and pick your targets wisely - and utilise it's speed and manoeuvrability - the smaller ships like the cobras and eagles put up a good fight - all fun

Well I just went to the Hi Int CZ at Exioce 3 in my Viper Mk III and smashed the granny out of everything I targeted. I don't play much so expected only to last minutes through lack of practice. I had to go to Fort Lawrence to Re-Arm. I must admit I was shaking (in a good way) the whole time as I thought I was out of my depth and had a constant snarl on my face. Really enjoyed it though.

Just got back from there. Decided to test my new build against a cutter.

Fight was so long they'd come back online long before the end!

Cost me 4 SCB-shots, 13% hull. 42k costs, 96k rewards so still worth it as it robbed the scum of a ship worth twice mine

Yesterday I took down 3 (three!) Cutters without a wingmate (he was on a break) in my lowly Cobra!

Ok, they were not at 100% to begin with...
But the first one there was only one other NPC firing at it, and it was exhilarating when he exploded!

And the last one also tried to ram me when he saw his own end nearing.
