For someone that likes to play with loadouts, its a pain. So I moved back to my old hangout of Sak Manka. I am still coming and going to OoM space to do missions, but I need a place where I can find all the Modules and Ships I want right there. Also, with all the kill missions, I was running the risk of ending up Wanted and Fugitive in a system where all my ships were.

Its a case of not Pooping Where you Eat if you know what I mean. I learned that a long time ago, and having all my stuff there put that at risk.

I have been considering doing the same thing for both of the same reasons that caused you to move. It's too bad that Azrael doesn't have better outfitting, trade runs, etc. I *love* the looks of the inside of the station though! 8-)

I was gone when this whole OoM thing happened. Can somebody give me a super simple explanation of what it is and how I join/help out?

I don't even know what to answer to the poll :)
Power play is something I am not too familiar with. To my understanding joining up with one of them might reward me some ship parts at some point, not available any other ways. But when I go to some other part of space controlled by someone else I will get shot by NPC:s and players too, in open play at least.
I may be wrong in all I just wrote, but if it is like this, then I see no point in joining any faction at all, would restrict my movements way too much, and all for some slightly different ship parts.

But I did park my ships at Azrael so that I can do missions for Mobius. The station itself is not the best place to keep ships as the outfitting station is very poor, so I might be moving to some nearby high-tech station.
I play on PC, in the Mobius PVE Eurasia group.

Most of the nights I sleep at Azrael.
I do my shopping for ships an outfitting 150 LY down the road were I get a 15% discount so I don't mind the bad outfitting.
If all goes well we have our own high-tech system in the future :-)
Did a lot of missions today, I see the BB of Mobius station is infested with missions from a neighboring star?
But then again, i also find "Order of Mobius" missions at neighboring stars.

I also don't know how it works and what will happen, when will the other stations fall to the Order? What are the signs? I hope someone will explain.

Running missions and helping out a minor faction in some way (i.e. bounty hunting, etc) isn't a part of Power Play so you have nothing to worry about in that respect. You don't pledge to a minor faction (so far - this may or may not change in the future), and the worst that will happen is you may lose some reputation with any of the other factions your selected missions pit you against. On the flip side, doing missions for a minor faction you're supporting raises your rep with them (Neutral > Friendly > Allied), and if the minor faction in questions is aligned to a major faction (Fed, Imp, Alliance) then it also adds a small amount of rep to the major faction in question.

In short, what you do for one minor faction has little or no effect on how the other minor factions deal with you.

Chose option 4 myself. I don't like PP. Not only because I don't flipping understand it, but also because it seems to me if you need to defend your own faction against an opposing faction, be it player or NPC, you will need at some point to start on the PVP route, which I pretty much totally detest these days, and I joined Mobius precisely because it's anti PVP stance.

This was probably because of a number of years spent in EVE and meeting the many assholes there, who want only to be able to engage in PVP against traders and miners mainly, or hopelessly outclassed low level fighting ships driven by low trained players, when they are not taking part in large scale visual blobs of time dilated rubbish against each other for control of all space systems.
I ended up being drawn into that type of play myself and found it very disquieting. One day I woke up thinking I do not like what I am doing to other people, who do not understand the process of thought that dictates to have a good time in a multiplayer video game, it seemed to be necessary to go off on a rampage with like minded individuals and take apart some harmless and innocent players, just to have bragging rights on a stupid kill board, or in a forum.

I do see a few similarities to that style of play rearing it's ugly head a little in ED of late, and PP seems to me to encourage it somewhat. So at least option 4 keeps me at arms length for now from the group, in case it finds itself in a situation in the future where it would possibly need to go PVP to protect its own system. Which is something I never felt was in the spirit of what I joined kickstarter for ED in the first place. Player owned space seems to be infiltrating this game a la Eve to me. I may be wrong but I am getting a little nervous of the course I see ED is tacking towards in some oblique way.

But at least in a worse case scenario I can play private group or solo to avoid these shenanigans if I have to in ED unlike Eve. :?

I dont'n really like PowerPlay, so i could not pledge for the order.
All other cases would be no Problem. Mining, Hunting Pirates, Trading, Missions,...

I'd be interested. I initially joined up to a group that supported a power play faction when I started playing but the group imploded and I ended up going solo again. It would be fun to have some wider in game goals to work towards that have an actual influence on the game.

I would participate in building a New Mobius station in the black. I wont hold my breath on that though. FD likes to keep their chickens close to the hen house.

This puts me in a very difficult situation, being an Imperial...
Hmmm... how to solve this...

For me, once you oppose the Empire, I will choose their side, obviously.
Otherwise, all the rest is game for me.

I swore an oath to Lavigne, and I am a very loyal person.
Not to mention principle.
