Come Crew for me, I pay well.

I'm still waiting for my invite to be accepted, but afterwards I would love to give the crew mechanic a shot.

Actually that is some sort of weird bug, outside of Beta I have never crewed in live. Been working with FD on this for a bit now via support ticket.
Anyway, when you get your invite lots of great and helpful Commanders here to crew with and other things.

Have the Farkoids actually attacked anyone?...........

Or have they just defended themselves when fired upon?......

There has been some reports of people being attacked for apparently no reason, however it may have been because they got too close without realising, or some other reason. There also seems to be reports of different 'goids showing different behaviour, with some being more aggressive than others.

It's probably too early to really know what's going on, but we (humanity) have certainly not been particularly welcoming, so even if their original intent wasn't hostile we've probably blown it now for peaceful interactions.

I'd rather be ready.

Took my Cutter out for a spin. Got some fines for reckl.... rooky flying (I hate how it handles). Dropped by Alfven Prospect in Dvorsi and got these experimental scanners and weapons... Just in case...

Now off to the CG to get some better weapons against the Thargs....

Just hit Maia. On the way there found a Non-human SS. Decided to go in with Lady Jayne (my Python.) The Thargoid interceptor just came close scanned me and left me alone, then went to pick up a Thargoid device. I approached it and it just went about it's business and left me alone.

I did not deploy weapons. So maybe that's why it left me alone?

Going to get the AX scanner and missile launcher, and go looking for trouble tomorrow. Think I should have brought my Enhanced Low Power Prismatics instead of my thermal resist Bi-weaves. Oh well...

I read on the other forum that there were some offensive intradictions if you happen to be carrying some Thargoid or Guardian related stuff.

So... Decided to go look for some Non-human Signal Sources, after equipping Lady Jayne with the alien sensor and AX missiles.
Went around Maia and Merope and couldn't find any. So decided to test the AX missile turrets against a Deadly FDS ina Haz Res. Worked wonders, as soon as I realized that I had put my missiles on the secondary fire button. Decided to swap to fixed after that.
Then went to the system where that fleet in the video got attacked and came across the NHSS that I was looking for.
The interceptor scanned me and then I did a basic scan on it. When I deployed my weapons to do a full scan it went red and deployed it's fighters. They didn't attack me so (being frustrated with taking so long to find them), I attacked it. Managed to get one of it's hearts down to 57% when I ran out of missiles and on the final pass the interceptor rammed me and took out my shields (about to go anyway.) Stowed my guns and about to run and jump when the interceptor fired 2 missiles and damaged my thrusters. Went spinning but luckily the thrusters were not destroyed. Hit boost and then jumped.

Learnt:
1. Bring along a PD.
2. You can kite the interceptor away from the fighters if you have a fast enough ship.
3. Need to figure out where the synthesis missile button is.

Anyway heading back to the bubble.
