To pass on the collected wisdom of the DWE rock rats: If you are hunting for materials on planets, wing up, and then drive in totally different directions. The spawn/drop rate is increased for each wing member because you are in a wing, but since you are in totally different places, everybody can keep the increased drops for him/herself.
