StarMap Star Type Filter

Postby Oaktree » Fri Oct 28, 2016 1:56 pm

Do you guys know where in the star map, is the new feature to filter certain star types from plot routing? It must have been right under my nose, but i couldnt find it. Need to filter out white dwarves, those things are nasty!

Thanks in advance.

In the map on 2nd last tab you can change from Realistic to Filtered (I think it is called that, but its the middle option) to Power Play. Choose Filtered and then select Star Types in the drop down.

Once you have a filter.
For example the scoopables (fogkbam) there is option on the bottom of that list to apply the filter to route plottiing.
You can toggle this as you wish and see if it changes your jumps, sometimes it won't other times it will.

For instance you can be traveling on a normal plot, but once you go low on fuel, apply the replot and it should theoretically make your next stop a scoopable star.

Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Thanks guys, i found it.

On the map function where you can choose between Realistic, Map or Powerplay, choosing Map, the first filter that starts with the options None, Allegiance, Government and Economy, i didnt noticed that there were more options that i could scroll down for, like State, Security, Star Class, etc... What a blind noob...

Well, now at least i wont get roasted by a White Dwarf or run out of fuel.
