Postby KRRONOSS » Wed Aug 03, 2016 1:19 pm

How do i get rid of this? It's in IX Chim and ive read I can go there, buy a Sidewinder , get myself scanned an killed and it will disappear?

It's for about 400k and it keeps resetting to six days... :/

This page is pretty good about it. Basically, if you aren't scanned by an NPC in the system the bounty is for, it should have become a fine after 7 days. If it is not, you can either put in a ticket to have it converted to a legacy fine or you can get a cheap ship and go get yourself scanned by an NPC to turn it back to an active bounty and killed with the bounty detected to make it be collected and converted to a fine.

Thanks. I did read that page but was getting scanned outside the system (with no cargo by BH's). It keeps getting put back to 7 days...)i even had <2hrs to go!)

Might just go buy a Sidewinder and get it done with. Stupid really...

From my experience... if you leave the station and let them scan and attack you... then you jump and dock at another system and come back... the bounty will be changed to a legacy fine.

Some month ago, when I did the Suicidewinder trick at a CG station (due to a griefer ram speeding attack in open), it didn't do the trick; neither being scanned and blown up by NPCs nor by players, even after leaving and re-entering the system.
Then suddenly, when I returned from another system to give it one last chance, and the NPC Sec scanned and shot my ship, all of a sudden the bounty was away.
Not sure this was a bug ... so keep trying if it doesn't work the first time.
