Grinding Sirius missions in Avik and Procyon. Got bored trying to mine my way to Allied. Probably 30% more 'til allied. Maybe less.

What kind of missions are they? Do they just bounce between the two systems or send you to other systems as well?
I really wish 64 Arietis was Fed cause it's between 2/3 planets with the occasional mid range transport to other systems but earns decent money.

Cargo, some killing, scanning trade data, etc.

Sothis and Ceos have a Sirius Corp presence, though usually not as many missions as the other factions. You'd have to fly back to Avik for the invite mission after hitting allied, but the grind will certainly be more profitable around Sothis.

I was at Sothis and Ceos. Both have a poor mission spawn rate compared to Avik, Procyon, and other systems directly 1 jump away from each other. I've finished quite a few more since coming back here, and the allied missions are popping up at a few places.

They haven't patched 17 Drac, STILL? That's almost a year old cash-ploit.

Sitting in Procyon trying to find a mission scan that won't pop while Procyon B. For an hour no, now freakin' luck. It diverted me to this star, and now it won't pop the required mission..

Nope. The station is literally nothing but cash donations. There's four factions, two are federation, two are independent. Maybe they left it in for those who didn't want to "earn" their rank? So far I've spent like 20M for maybe 30%. So the earning rate is definitely lowered. Not that I really have a comparison from experience.

Psh, I earned my rank. 5 to 20 million per level wasn't unearned cash. Busted ass to hit Admiral. Pretty sure I got a repetitive stress injury from it too.

Been doing more combat in my Python. At 80% novice now, with a few hundred thousand in bounty vouchers

I have cargo I bought for missions. It's a modified mission status. Got 1 for 2 missions each. That's why it's 2 RNGineer'd Anacondas..

As I am going to FTL, the second Anaconda drops right in front of me.. Interdicted by 1, luckily starting to go into the hyperlight tunnel, and smack the second conda.. and didn't take massive hull damage in the process. 70 more to CEOS.

I remember having very few interdictions when running the high paying missions from Sothis/Ceos to the bubble a couple of months ago, but the 'fetch' missions to bring commodities back to Sothis/Ceos drew a crowd of NPC pirates. Go figure.

Working on my Multi-Cannons at McQuinn's base. Grinded 3/5 so far.

Smart Rounds, where were these before! Awesome random upgrade at the cost of 20% of my ammo load. Since I do a lot of combat outside stations, this was worth it.

Got my sirius permit and invitation to Qwent. By the time I turned in all the missions I stacked, I was fully allied with Sirius Corp.

I killed a dangerous rated Python. Really proud of myself. He then respawned RNGineer'd at Master level, and followed me for the next hour. Stations at 10,000Ls+ out are a pain when you're being tailed.. especially when you need repairing.. and the NPC can shred shields in 1 hit.

The mission spawn rate at Avik seemed equally low to me, and many of them were deliveries to Hutton Orbital. I was desperate enough to do one of them. :-O

Thanks! It wasn't a bad grind between Procyon, Avik, and Leyton's. I enjoy the hop around and actually having new missions to take, unlike at Ceos and Sothis, where spawn rate was prohibitive.

I ended up getting a shield partial-bypass upgrade on my multicannon, from Tod. Going to go mindlessly mine for pure cargo tonnage to get to Selene's. After that, over to Jameson to grab the cutter, 200 tonnes of gold, and out to.. I forget the name to unlock that. The I guess it will be time to start finding the modular terminals, though I haven't a clue where, to be able to unlock Palin.

Is it just me, or are the forums a bit, dead? Must be a lot of late vacation of back-to-school prep happening.
