Quick touch & go in the bubble to dump about 15 million in exploration data in Azrael, do a test drive with a 5A fuel scoop in the cutter (Really Bad Idea), and pick up yet another load of power generators for the "Repair Jaques" CG.
Dirty deeds done dirt cheap for reasonable prices

Waiting on a freakin' Realtor to call back to see a house tomorrow.. meanwhile, can't leave the station in case of the freakin' call.

Real life is really inconvenient to gaming.

Now, time to head to Sothis, then out to NGC 7822.

Collecting Modular Terminals for Qwent, one remaining.

Approaching a station with pad assigned, I notice another commander when entering the grill. I type "o7" on the comms when I hit my throttle - this turns my throttle off and I hear BLEEP when autodock engages, turns the ship about 45 degrees up and right (inside the grill) and hits BOOST.

Good times. I think it's enough autodock for a while.

I saw this hint posted by Belthize on the main forums:

When mining you can avoid NPCs fairly easily. Drop into a random part of a ring, not the Res site. As soon as you drop in begin boosting toward the planet parallel to the ring. Toward the planet simply because it's an easy reference, parallel to the ring so you don't get mass locked. NPCs will spawn in but they'll spawn at or near your drop in point. Within about 30 seconds you'll be out of their range and never see another NPC till you jump out.
It's time to give this another go.

Well was a Productive night. Only about 10 disconnects between us.

Managed to upgrade a few ships. Arnie Conda in standard trim (full guns and 4 buggies, 352 cargo) can now do 38ly empty. Amelias Legacy Cobra Mrk3 34ly. Drakes Hind AspX is the king at 48ly. All have augmented boosters if equiped, and some drive tuning and weapons tuning.
Amelia now does 351 with 4 pips, and 501 on boost.

Tomorrow is another day. Time to make some money. May have to pick up another Cutter :P

Yes, I already do this.

What I mean is ... deep space interdictions and other interdictions during travel. They are already 3-4x as much as when I'm hauling goods in trade. That's including considering I'm usually hauling the same loot around for 1-2 hours as I mine, whereas I only haul the same load for 10-15 minutes when I trade.

When you mine, statistically, you're going to get taken far more. Just reality that has not been balanced well. And people wonder why I used to mine with a Vulture, only 32t cargo, a Size 1 Limpet Collector and Class 2A (6 bin) refinery?

Right now I'm trying to get 10t Painite and it took me 4 hours to get 1t! I used to get far, far more in the 3 rings I used to mine before 2.1 dropped. I just thank the Creator that I'm in a well shielded Anaconda now. Although I'm going to be "Master" (combat) soon if this pace keeps up.

Just saw, up close at least, my first Cutter (crazy I know), headed right towards me as I'm leaving New Dawn Station in my Viper.
Upon nearing the entrance of Newholm Station I also had two ships trying to leave at the same time. Thought that it was strange that there was so much traffic and then remembered that I went to Open for mission checks and forgot to switch out. Which would likely explain the Cutter as well.
It might also be time to move on to a new XB1 controller. Nothing I love more than random and unwanted nosedowns and the occasional drifting to the left.

Did you do all the requisite steps for the previous 3 people?

*Edit*

Just got 3 things from 1 private data scan.

Abnormal Compact Emissions
Specialised Legacy Firmware
Unexpected Emission data

Dunno if this is good stuff, but nice to get more than 1 at a time.

About to dump scan data at Sothis.
