Go into external camera and rotate towards your cockpit. Now slide in as far as you can to get close.

Look at yourself, admire the detail. Then notice you are wearing a HELMET! And its not clear. Canopy or no canopy, you got a helmet on.

I'm not sure about seeing those scratches while pointing at dim stars, but they just showed up big time on my Vulture in the 2.1 beta. They can almost wash out the view out the cockpit looking at a sun 7000Ls away. I hope they tone that down a bit.
It's time to give this another go.
